Dear Lipizzaners,

I wanted to thank you for making my daughter's birthday a very special day.
All the kids enjoyed the show and the time afterwards. I guess we were spoiled as we had the place for ourselves.
Margie, the cupcakes did not make it until the end of the day!
Everything was just perfect.
Thank you again,

A huge Thank You to Paintcor Northriding for donating the litres and litres of paint that was used to give the SA Lipizzaners Centre a facelift on 23 June . Maestoso Eljen is 9 years old and has recently had his debut in the School Quadrille and as you can see in the photos, he has held on every so tightly to his dark colour, not following in the tradition that almost all Lipizzaner stallions are white by the time they are 9 in age. This unmistakably unique and gorgeous stallion is son to one of the Centre's most prestigious stallions, Maestoso Odina I, who performs in the School Quadrille, Pas De Deux, Side Saddle and Solo routines held every Sunday. His father is also the tallest stallion that we have at the Centre as well as being one of the Schoolmasters for the younger riders to learn with. Maestoso Eljen, although remarkably smaller than his father, has shown that his heart is big and has unwavering determination to learn new things. We have high hopes for the life of this little horse at the Centre. With his easy going temperament and understanding in what he must do, he has become one of the firm favourites amongst the students. Maestoso Eljen is currently looking for a sponsor who would like to share in his achievements.

Siglavy Erem I, a rare chocolate bay Lipizzaner, has arrived at the Lipizzaner Centre.
He was moved to the centre from the Lipizzaner Stud Farm and will take his place among the team of magnificent white stallions as one of our future stars. His rich brown coat and a dashing thick black mane who will remain dark in colour for the rest of his life. He is a breathtakingly handsome fellow!! Read More

Our Barndance was a huge success! Great fun was had by all that attended. There were great food and games throughout the evening. The biggest attraction for the evening was Armand the Singing Cowboy on his noble steed Ferm. We were also selected to hold a book launch from Juliette Whelpton for her third book called 'Helde met Hoewe - Dapper'! The students of 2017 produced a display in honour of our white Stallions and it was enjoyed by all. VIew Photos

Our Valentine's Picnic held at the SA Lipizzaner Centre was an amazing night, even with a shaky start where the rain decided to pop in and shower everyone. A quick move into the indoor and the night went on! Great food, fantastic entertainment and the displays held by the stallions through the evening are just a few things that made the evening great. A very Happy Birthday to Favory Modena who turns 23 today. Modena was spoilt by his Sponsors Noo & Rob Sowry. The Stallion who is by Favory Elc out of Modena is now retired but in his day he formed part of the Quadrille and All Steps. Not to mention the he performed the Courbette and was the perfect gentleman to be a Solo Schoolmaster. Happy Birthday Favory Modena.

Tonight we say a very sad goodbye to Neapolitano Nanczi.
This horse, was not just any horse, he was a Lipizzaner. A Lipizzaner true to his breed. He had accomplished so much in his short life with us. He was skilled in Pas De Deux,  Quadrille, Side Saddle and had shown a great interest in training for the Levade. He had helped many of our younger riders become successful to ride in the Quadrille. He would gently guide them through the routine and when they would forget or simply ask for a specific movement wrong, he would help them no matter what it was. He was simply amazing. His quiet temperament and soft nature always stood out. He lives on through his children and hopefully one day, they will be able to fill the very big hoof prints he left behind.
Run softly over endless green grass.
Continue your dance, just forever amongst the stars.
And let your soft nicker carry on the gentle breeze.
You are forever eternity.
"Where are you going?"  We asked.
"To dance amongst the stars."  He replied.

A very big congratulations to Trainee Rider Karen Böhme! She has been promoted to Junior Rider, receiving her 'reds'. This fantastic lady also schooled Neapolitano Undine to Quadrille and rode him in his debut performance. Congratulations Karen!

The hundreds of guests who enjoyed the grand charity occasion will attest to
the fact that no images could do this spectacular evening justice. The evening’s M.C, Paul Buckby was his usual radiant self as the perfect host and entertainer, upstaged only by the beautiful Lipizzaners themselves dancing around the guests entering hearts to raise funding for another year’s keep. Dancing went on into the early hours with no one wanting to leave the enchanting evening. As always Judy and her team put on an efficiently run and memorable event. Click here to view Photos
